This was one of the best shows to date. The money was down a little but that should have been expected due to many people and businesses donating mostly to the 9-11 funds. We did manage well over 6000 though. I would like to thank the following people for their help this year; APF Michigan, Powerhouse Gym of Monroe, Frenchtown Square Mall, Jake Jones, U.S. Marine Corp, Doug Young, Sounds By Six, Charlie Maxwell, Bob Gareckson, Abdul Weselowski, Jared Spybrook, Clay Brandenburg, Bill Bushey, Herman Brown, Jeff Martin and of course Team Newbieville (Hitch, Lil Dog, Geoff and Trena).

We had a good showing from Ohio this year. Blaise Karlovic gave us our first 600 @ SHW for a meet record. We also had several other meet records fall. Erik Straub got the record at 200 by just inching past Rodney Williams. Both benched 475 but Erik was 1 pound lighter. That's as close as it gets! At 225 Greg Tarr surpassed the record by 40 pounds with a 480. Dave Meek erased a 3 year old record at 275 with a 540. The Women's Open record was bested by 66 pounds. Cynthia Blais managed an incredibly easy 225. She was definitely good for somewhere around 300! Laurie Anderson bested her old mark in the Women 40+ division again with a 180 (+48). Brad Arbic broke the 400 mark in the Teen Heavy division getting 405 (+166). Mitchell Flagg nailed 500 in the Master 40+ division. Our guest lifters did an incredible job. Charlie pulled a 750 deadlift and Bob pulled 700. Jared & Abdul both took attempts at the HUUUUGE 410 stone in the stone lift. That stone is about 65 pounds heavier than the stones they use in the world strongest man competitions! Thanks for all your support and we hope to see you next year.
